How can I hold a Safeguarding Course within my Branch/Centre or Area?
Posted by on 27 May 2014 08:30 AM

If you would like to hold a Safeguarding Course within your Branch/Centre or Area please contact Georgina Hayward, georgina@pcuk.org or telephone 02476 698319.

You should provide a venue and a couple of dates on which you would like to hold the course and inform the D.C. and Area Representative or Centre Regional Co-ordinators that you intend to hold one. Hannah will then contact the nearest tutor to confirm a date and inform the Branch/Centre organiser.

A Safeguarding Course form will then be sent out to the organiser for distribution to the interested parties. This form is to be returned to The Pony Club Office, Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, CV8 2RW before the commencement of the course so that a list can be compiled for the organiser and tutor.

Safeguarding Certificates will be sent to all attendees after the course. We require between 12 – 24 attendees and the cost of the course is £20 per person.

The venue and any refreshments are paid for by the Branch or Centre and The Pony Club pay for the tutor’s expenses, accommodation if necessary, course handouts and certificates.  This course is recognised by BEF and Sport England and it is recommended that instructors attend this course as it meets the requirements for the UK Coaching Certificate.
