The Pony Club is a voluntary youth organisation for young people interested in ponies and riding. Today it has Branches worldwide but these FAQ's apply only to Branches and Centres in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Within the UK it is a registered charity, and is subject to Charity legislation and to regulation by the charity commission.

In particular it:

  • Encourages young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport connected with ponies and riding
  • Gives instruction in riding and horsemastership and educates Members to look after and to take proper care of their animals
  • Promotes the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty to create strength of character and self-discipline
